- View of a calm sea crammed with ships with the city of Batavia and mountains in the background. The ships include seven three-masters and a string of smaller vessels including a junk. One of the vessels is clearly flying the Dutch flag while the others mainly fly pennants. in the city in the background one can discern two turrets. The painting is signed top right.
