- Stained glass window above the entrance of the former premises of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij, currently (2006) Museum Bank Mandiri. Design: F.H. Abbing.
- Symbolic depiction of the four seasons, with plenty in the centre. In the central skylight Cornelis Houtman is depicted with four ships, with on the left a seagoing vessel, on the right a Javanese. In the lower windows is an emblem of the NHM and the coats of arms of Batavia and Amsterdam.
- Design of the building: A.P. Smits & C. van de Linde architects. Construction: 1929-1933, technical advisor to the NHM: J.J.J. de Bruin.
