Cape Comorin

In 1740 the VOC established a so-called 'comptoir', or station at Cape Comorin, on the southern-most tip of the Indian sub-continent. The village fell under the aegis of the rajah of Tutucorin. It was a fishing village that served as a transhipment port for may VOC goods.
