Map of the Nacra Kabo plantation

Lavaux, Alexander de

Title Leupe: Kaart van eenige landen aan beide oevers van de rivier Cottica gelegen.

This map shows the Nacra Kabo plantation (demarcated with red and the letters A-E) on the north bank (below on the map) of the Cottica river and to the east (left on the map) of the Mot Creek.

The survey was done decades after the plantation was given to Sir Gillis Bert Holtt by the Governor-General Bernard Texier on 20 September 1698.

The plantation is situated between the plantations of Sir Van der Kolck and the dwellings of Sir Cley and Rayneval.

To the north of the plantations (below on the map) other dwellings are drawn.

The map was signed by the surveyor on 3 January 1731 in Paramaribo and ratified on 29 November 1731.

Scale of 100 Chains of 66 Rhineland feet = 130 ‘strepen’.
