A map of the various municipalities of Grenada. This is the first edition of the map which was later republished in 1796 and 1825. It is dedicated to Lieutenant General Robert Melvill, the Governor of region at the time. It shows the lots, relief, rivers and towns of the island. Several industries like the sugar mills are indicated with particular symbols. The reference numbers are associated with names given to the lots in Paterson's Topographical Description (see VEL1436A). This map is based on the survey of 'monsieur Pinel', conducted in 1763.
