Haafner and a Khoi girl

The print depicts an episode from Lotgevallen en vroegere zeereizen van Jacob Haafner, in which Haafner is looking for the bulb of a certain plant in the Cape mountains in 1769 or 1770, and meets a Khoi girl who follows him around and who he finds rather charming. When he wants to meet up with her again the next day, the group she was part of turns out to have left.
