The realisation of the Atlas of Mutual Heritage

The Atlas of Mutual Heritage project is the result of a close co-operation between the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, RACM (Rijksdienst voor de Monumentenzorg) in Amersfoort, the Koninklijke Bibliotheek in The Hague and the Nationaal Archief in The Hague.

The project was initiated by Martine Gosselink. Together with the AMH project group, she carried final responsibility for the execution of the project until december 2009. Johanneke Braam took over her tasks.

The Atlas of Mutual Heritage database was realised with the aid of subsidies from the HGIS Culture Programme for international cultural relations, of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry for Education, Culture and Sciences.

The 2nd stadium of the AMH, involving the addition of both Dutch collections and collections world wide, was made possible by NWO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek).

Stadium 3, adding WIC-locations as well as new collections in and outside the Netherlands, was realised with the aid of the HGIS-C programme of of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry for Education, Culture and Sciences.
