Analaitivu

The island of Analaitivu, which numbered some 1,000 inhabitants around the turn of the 17th century, was called Rotterdam by the Company. There was a church and a school for the native population who made their living by oyster fishing. The compilers of this database have not as yet come across a source in the literature that identifies this location as a VOC post.
