Edappalli

India

Edappalli, also known as Ellengallur and Repolom, was a tiny kingdom. This kingdom owned lands scattered along the entire Malabar Coast. While it was not an important trade location, it was unique thanks to the free and easy character of the city, where one could easily seek refuge in the temples and pagodas. The compilers of this database have not as yet come across a source in the literature that identifies this location as a VOC post.
