This 1776 site map of Sint Kruis Bay by Engineer Serz shows that at this location, little has come of the great plans from the 1740s to significantly enhance Curaçao's defences. No more than a single open battery was constructed there, albeit a somewhat larger one than those located on the bays farther west.

North is upper left.
