This map shows the location and extent of the plantations on the western side of the redoubt Purmerend, which is located north of Paramaribo.

The plantations are divided by long lots.

Personal names have been assigned to the lots to the north of Paramaribo.

The lenght and width are indicated for the ten lots west of the redoubt Purmerend.

All lots have the size of 500 Surinamese acres (215 hectares).

A canal running from east to west is depicted with the annotation: planned canal, length of 496 [Rhineland] chains .
