Pagodinho

India

Pagidinhia, also known as Trikunnappuzha, was situated around nine kilometres south of Porca. This was one of the many guardposts established by the VOC along the Malabar Coast. The numerous small guardposts were aimed at combating the pepper smuggling trade. The VOC made every effort to protect its precious pepper monopoly.
