Fort Hollandois de Cormantin nommé Amsterdam, tiré de Barbot.

Fort Royal de Manfro, tiré de Barbot.

The image corresponds with that of Koninklijke Bibliotheek, 693 C 6, part IV, opp. p. 404.

Manfro is the name of the hill on which the fort was situated. From 1683 to 1717 it was the only Prussian fort in Ghana. In 1725 it fell into the hands of the WIC (Dutch West India Company) and was renamed Fort Hollandia.

It could be that the Danish fort of Frederiksborg near Cabo Cors is depicted here. This too was referred to by the name 'Koningsfort'.
