Fort

Zeeburg, redoubt (Taiwan)

The redoubt Zeeburg on the Baxemboy sandbank (nowadays the Luermen area just outside Tainan) controlled the entrances to the Bay of Zeelandia, i.e. the channel in front of Zeelandia and the Lakjemeuse channel further north. A typhoon destroyed the redoubt in 1656. Today a stone near the Sicao Dazhong Temple marks the former location of the redoubt.
