The original title according to the catalogue Leupe (NA) reads: Kaart van de Baai, Stad en Vestingwerken van Columbo.
Map of the city of Colombo and its surroundings. The houses, the rampart and the buildings are drawn in elevation.
Notes on reverse: Behoort bij Overgekomen brieven en papieren Ceilon 1655, II [folio ?] nr. 542a.
This map was most probably drawn before Colombo was seized from the Portuguese in 1656, because the names mentioned on the map are still in Portuguese.
