View of the Tangerang fort near Batavia, anno 2002 a shopping centre in the town of Tangerang, 30 kilometres west of Jakarta.
The fort has bastions on both sides, the right hand one has a wooden clock tower.
Depicted in the foreground left is an Indonesian soldier (pradjurit) and an Indonesian lady with a furled pajong (parasol).
In the centre a European hunter with hunting dog.
