Rach, Johannes

View of Bato Tulis near Buitenzorg, three statues near a tree.

These stones were mounted on the western bank of the Ciliwung river. They are the remains of the Pajajaran kingdom. The inscription, in old Sundanese, tells the history of the founding of the kingdom in 1333. The footprints are said to be of the first king.

The stones were a popular tourist attraction for Rach's contemporaries.
