Title Leupe: Kaart van de plantagien, tusschen Belair en Nieuw Timotibo..

This map shows the Cappoerika Plantation (indicated with the letters A-J); which lays at the Perica, West and East Sappotoni, and Pero creeks.

The survey was requested by the owner; Mrs. Johanna Sorgedragers, widow of Sir Lemmers, to measure the three lots she obtained since 3 February 1681.

Her land turns out to measure 1320 Surinamese acres (567,6 hectares), with an explanation given on the right side of the map on how it was obtained.

The De Vrede, Belair and Sappatoni plantations are shown to the north of the land, and the Nieutemotibo plantation lay to its south.

The map was signed by the land surveyor on 11 January 1735 and ratified on 30 January 1736 in Paramaribo.

Scale of 100 Chains of 5 ½ Rhineland rods = 160 ‘strepen’.
