This is a map of the Society’s plantation West-Souburg, situated on both banks of the main river approximately halfway between Fort Nassau and the mouth of the Wiruni River.

Part of a series of maps, ground plans and drawings of buildings and other objects from around the year 1752 which can be attributed to the land surveyor and engineer Philippus Marcus Osterlin. This map offers a overview map from the aforementioned series and depicts the plantation as a whole and various surrounding estates. Also see VEL1592 and VEL1593.

The annotations clarify the following matters: the full title and an index for the depicted lots and creeks with reference numbers ranging from A t/m Z and a t/m y.

North is lower left.
