Tuban

Indonesia

Tuban was an important polity on Java's East side in the late 16th and early 17th century. As such, it was visited by early Dutch expeditions in the area, including the Tweede Schipvaart (Second Expedition), which visited its court in 1599. In 1619, Tuban was subsequently conquered by the Mataram Sultanate and ceased to be a power of consequence in the region.
