Title Leupe: A Map of South Carolina and a part of Georgia etc.
This is part of the revision of De Brahm's 1757 map of the region. This work added many details derived from the surveys of John Stuart, the main Indian Agent from 1762 until the American Revolution. As the map was issued at the height of the American Revolution it fulfilled needs of the British army to trace the opponent. De Brahm’s original map proved too sketchy for this purpose.
Scale-bar 35 English miles = 176 ‘strepen’.
