Post

Armina

Surinam

The post of Armina was located on the banks of the Marrewijne River, in the far east of the colony of Suriname. In the late 18th century, the post was located at the end of a military path, constructed during the Boni wars. On maps, this path is marked as “le nouveau chemin,” a branch of the “communication path” that led to the military encampment north of Armina.
